Celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

On 5 June Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Diamond Jubilee. Throughout the last sixty years the Queen has given a powerful witness of both the spiritual power and the calling of monarchy. She is a living sign, if you like, of the qualities of selfless and sacrificial devotion to duty and service. As Queen she is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

50th International Eucharistic Congress

Between June 10-17 the 50th International Eucharist Congress takes place in Dublin.  The theme of the Eucharistic Congress is The Eucharist: Communion with Christ and with One Another.

Eastertide is a special season in the life of the Church full of joy, hope and the love of God. It is of course special because we celebrate two major interventions of God in human history: the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

St Catherine of Siena - Patron of Europe

Fr Adrian Graffy explores the Sunday gospel readings for Lent 2012, which are taken from the Gospels of Mark and John, and discovers in them a common theme.
